The Thrill is Gone

When I heard the news about BB King's passing I was sad. I mean, who didn't love BB? I got the call from the Chef who was nearly inconsolable. In addition to the Chef being a big man with a big appetite and a proud man of color the Chef is a man of great musical tastes.  As a tribute to to BB the Chef cooked up some of his famous Memphis BBQ, sparked up the bong and played some of his favorite BB King songs on his guitar.

As my regular readers know, the Chef loves that ladies and the ladies love the Chef the same was true for BB King  His real name is Riley B. King. B.B. stood for "Beale Street Blues Boy," a nickname he acquired after his radio DJ days in Memphis.

After a few hits of some of the Chef's sticky green (for medicinal purposes only) the Chef cam out of his funk and for the rest of the day and into the night the Chef played BB's hit song Let the Good Times Roll.

The thrill is not gone because the thrill lives on in his music.
