Ted Cruz: A Do Nothing Bitch

Ted Cruz has never worked an actual job. The fact is, Ted Cruz is a career politician. Ted has never actually held a true private sector job Here's Ted's resume.

Cruz served as a law clerk to J. Michael Luttig of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 1995[48][46] and William Rehnquist,Chief Justice of the United States in 1996.[3] Cruz was the first Hispanic to clerk for a Chief Justice of the United States.[49]

"Private practice"

After Cruz finished his clerkships, he took a position with Cooper, Carvin & Rosenthal, now known as Cooper & Kirk, LLC, from 1997 to 1998.[50]While with the firm, Cruz worked on matters relating to the National Rifle Association, and helped prepare testimony for the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton.[51] Cruz also served as private counsel for Congressman John Boehner during Boehner's lawsuit against Congressman Jim McDermott for releasing a tape recording of a Boehner telephone conversation.[52]

Bush administration

Cruz joined the George W. Bush presidential campaign in 1999 as a domestic policy adviser, advising then-Governor George W. Bush on a wide range of policy and legal matters, including civil justice, criminal justice, constitutional law, immigration, and government reform.[50]
Cruz assisted in assembling the Bush legal team, devising strategy, and drafting pleadings for filing with the Supreme Court of Florida and U.S. Supreme Court, the specific case being Bush v. Gore, during the 2000 Florida presidential recounts, leading to two successful decisions for the Bush team.[46][53] Cruz recruited future Chief Justice John Roberts and noted attorney Mike Carvin to the Bush legal team.[51]
After President Bush took office, Cruz served as an associate deputy attorney general in the U.S. Justice Department[3][53] and as the director of policy planning at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.[3][42][53]

Texas Solicitor General

Appointed to the office of Solicitor General of Texas by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott,[48][54] Cruz served in that position from 2003 to 2008.[46][30] The office had been established in 1999 to handle appeals involving the state, but Abbott hired Cruz with the idea that Cruz would take a "leadership role in the United States in articulating a vision ofstrict construction." As Solicitor General, Cruz argued before the Supreme Court nine times, winning five cases and losing four.[51]

Private practice

After leaving the Solicitor General position in 2008, Cruz worked in a private law firm in Houston, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, often representing corporate clients, until he was sworn in as U.S. Senator from Texas in 2013.[46][19][69] At Morgan Lewis, he led the firm’s U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.[69] In 2009 and 2010, he formed and then abandoned a bid for state attorney general when the incumbent Attorney General Greg Abbott, who hired Cruz as Solicitor General, decided to run for re-election.[16]

Liar Ted Cruz Gets Taxpayer Funded Health Insurance!

Thu Oct 24, 2013 at 10:51 AM PDT

Ted Cruz doesn't understand that taxpayers subsidize his gold-plated Goldman Sachs health care plan

During his fauxlibuster Ted whose real name is Rafael Cruz was asked where he gets his health insurance. He was evasive. But now the truth can be told: he gets it from Goldman Sachs. TPM:
Ted Cruz's Wife Confirms He's Covered Under Her Blue-Chip Health Plan The wife of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who led a vocal effort to defund the Affordable Care Act, confirmed in a New York Times interview published Wednesday that the senator receives health care coverage through her blue-chip employer insurance plan.
"Ted is on my health care plan," Heidi Nelson Cruz, a Houston-based managing director for Wall Street firm Goldman Sachs, told the newspaper.
A spokeswoman for the Texas senator confirmed the coverage to the Times, which was worth at least $20,000 a year, according to Goldman.
But that's OK! says Ted Cruz's office:
“The senator is on his wife’s plan, which comes at no cost to the taxpayer and reflects a personal decision about what works best for their family,” spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said.
I'm sure you've already spotted that there is either a logic, knowledge or truth problem with that statement.  Goldman Sachs is using pre-tax dollars to provide Ted with this gold-plated health insurance plan.
Ted either doesn't know that his health insurance plan is subsidized by the taxpayers or is lying.
Austin Frakt:
Unless Mrs. Cruz is paying the entire premium and Goldman is not offering coverage through a Section 125 “cafeteria” plan — both highly unlikely — then taxpayers are subsidizing it, as they do all such employer-sponsored health insurance. All health policy wonks know this. I would hope Senator Cruz, who gives long speeches aimed to influence health policy, knows it. ...
In fact, the Senator and Mrs. Cruz are probably getting a bigger tax break than the cost of coverage of a typical, non-elderly Medicaid beneficiary, or even two.

Ted Cruz's Alternative to Obamacare

Ted Cruz is emerging as one of the GOP’s most vocal opponents of Obamacare.

He’s particularly worried that Americans will get “addicted” to healthcare that’s actually affordable, coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventive screenings, vision and dental care for children, better care and protection for seniors, combined with no annual limits on coverage, and the fact that insurance companies can no longer drop you when you’re sick.

This kind of dangerous socialism is something Cruz has seen first hand, following his safe and healthy birth in a socialist Canadian hospital in 1970.

According to Cruz, just a taste of better, lower-cost healthcare will get Americans “addicted” to the sugary sweetness of not watching your child die of an otherwise treatable disease. He’s scared that once Americans realize that their risk of medical bankruptcy has diminished, they may never want to go back to the good old days of worrying that insurance company “Death Panels” will deny their claims or drop their coverage.

To stop this, Cruz is willing to shut down the US government, throw the economy into a tailspin and say a prayer that there won’t be any new pandemics overwhelming the nation’s Emergency Rooms anytime in the future. In his mind, Emergency Rooms are where 30 million Americans should be camped out each day getting their cancer treatments, mammograms and colonoscopies or something.

Or maybe he just doesn’t want Americans to enjoy the kind of quality healthcare he and the Palin family know is available when they need it up in Canada, eh?

Why Texas Should Secede

Texas sucks! Look at the fact that they elected GW Bush and Rick Perry as governors and elected slime like Tom Delay, Ted Cruz and Louie Gohmert to congress and the senate.

Texans are assholes and since everything is big in Texas, Texans are the biggest assholes. Texans are always threatening to secede and decent Americans would like to see these turds that dropped out of a tall cows as to GET THE FUCK OUT OF AMERICA!

I wrote this because Houston Texans fans cheered the injury of their own QB Matt Schaub. In typical Texas style they are more concerned about winning their illegal bets than they are about the well being of another human being.

It angered his teammates.

Linebacker Brian Cushing called it "barbaric." Backup quarterback T.J. Yates' face darkened immediately when asked about it. Left tackle Duane Brown called certain fans' behavior "disgusting." Receiver Andre Johnson said it was a sign of "no class."

Texas, we don't want it and we don't it!
