I made about $350,000 during the Great Twinkie Famine, which was a huge windfall for me. I became known as one of the top Twinkie dealers in the area, and the police even investigated because they saw all the random cars parking in front and then people would just leave a few minutes later after getting back into their car after going into the house. I showed them my "stash" and they laughed that it was only Twinkies.
Now, I still have about $1,000,000 worth of unsold Twinkies and they are going to be worth very little now that the famine is over. I spent a lot of money buying all the Twinkies so my actual profits are only about $200,000. Even still, it was a great investment, but now I am left with so many Twinkies that I'm going to have to start eating them myself.
I made myself a Twinkie Milkshake today, which involves 4 twinkies in the blender along with other milkshake ingredients. It adds an incredible flavor when the Twinkie cream (actually made of vegetable shortening, the animal version of lard which is loaded with transfats) and I find it to be delicious.
My twinkie sources tells me that the new Twinkies will not hit the shelves until July 15th. A Twinkie insider told our investigative reporter Rotunda Hindenberg that the new Twinkie is not the same as the classic Twinkie and more like the Little Debbie knock off.
There is nothing that will ever replace transfats. I am boycotting Krispy Kreme due them no longer using transfats.
I think that there is still some windfall profits to be made on your classic Twinkies.
Great, I still have time to unload more of my Twinkies then! Maybe I should save more until after they are sold again so that people will realize they are not the same and I will be their source for original Twinkies.
I think that you should save some to see how they compare to the neo Twinkie. A lot has to do with the love that goes into them but keep in mind that the new Twinkies are being made with scab labor.
