Trump 'Can't Bluff His Way Through' This Crisis, Conservative News Site Says

Donald Trump is revealing how “deeply unsuited he is to deal with a genuine crisis that he can’t bluff his way through,” according to an editorial published Sunday in the Washington Examiner, a conservative political news site and weekly magazine that often has the president’s back.
This time, the Examiner had a serious problem with the president’s deceitful approach to the coronavirus threat.
“It’s one thing for Trump to insist he had a ‘perfect’ phone call [to Ukraine] and have all his Republican minions fall in line. It’s another thing to downplay a growing epidemic as more and more Americans get sick,” wrote the Examiner’s executive editor Philip Klein.
Trump’s comments on Friday while touring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were particularly disturbing, the Examiner noted. Instead of making sober, steadying statements about the concrete steps being taken to protect Americans, Trump attacked CNN, called Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) a “snake” for criticizing the administration’s handling of a disease that has killed 14 people in Inslee’s state and asked about ratings for his Fox News town hall meeting.
Trump also claimed tests devised by the CDC were perfect and that anyone who needed one could get it, even though CDC and other federal officials revealed that early tests were flawed and that demand for tests had outstripped supply.
Most stunning, Klein noted, was Trump’s reluctance to allow the passengers, including some 1,000 Americans, to leave the Grand Princess cruise ship, which is carrying nearly two dozen people who are sick with coronavirus, because it would increase the reported numbers of cases.
“Trump appears to be more concerned with numbers that might make him look bad in the short-term, then [sic] he is with actually taking the most prudent measures to save lives over time,” Klein wrote.
Trump has repeatedly insisted that the coronavirus threat is all but over, even as cases continued to mount. He also claimed that the 15 domestic cases reported last month would “go down close to zero.” As of Sunday, there were more than 500 cases — and 22 deaths.
“Trump will be judged on his handling of the spread of a virus,” Klein warned. “And the outcome will be clear no matter how many things he makes up, no matter how confident he pretends to be, and no matter how many insults he heaves.”

Trump’s prick licking surgeon general ridiculed for claiming president is healthy ‘despite rarely sleeping’

The Trump administration’s surgeon general has been ridiculed for suggesting Donald Trump is healthier than he is – even though the president is nearly 30 years his senior.
Appearing on CNN, Jerome Adams was being interviewed about the government’s advice to Americans as the coronavirus outbreak continues.
“The three people who might be president in January 2021 – president Trump, senator Sanders and vice president Biden – all of them are in their seventies, they have had various health questions. Should those three stop travelling? Should they stop holding rallies?”
In response, Mr Adams reassured viewers of Mr Trump’s health: “I was with the president on Friday and I said ‘sir, when was the last time you washed your hands?’ and he said, ‘I just washed my hands a few minutes ago ...’
“The president – he sleeps less than I do and he’s healthier than what I am.”
The response from many quarters was incredulous. “Is not sleeping a sign of good health?” asked Matthew Yglesias. The Daily Beast’s Matt Willstein wrote “First, do no harm (to the president’s massive ego)”.
Others pointed out the that if Mr Adams is in worse health than Mr Trump, he must be in poor health indeed.
Responding to the fallout on Twitter, Mr Adams said that he “should not have made this comparison” – and that he takes “five times as many meds as the president reportedly does”.
The septuagenarian Mr Trump has long been suspected to be vulnerable to various health problems, in particular given his weight and famously vegetable-free diet (which sees him consume as many as 12 cans of Diet Coke per day).
In 2015, as his campaign built up a head of steam, Mr Trump’s doctor released a euphoric report on his health in which he called Mr Trump’s physical strength and stamina “extraordinary” and described his test results “astonishingly excellent”.
“If elected, Mr Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” read the letter.
However, in 2018, the doctor behind the letter revealed that Mr Trump had in fact dictated it. He described it as a piece of “black humour”.
Mr Adams served as Indiana’s state health commissioner under then-governor Mike Pence, who as vice president has now been tapped by Mr Trump to oversee the government’s response to the coronavirus epidemic despite his lack of public health expertise.
While Mr Pence was governor of Indiana, he was forced to respond to an HIV outbreak in the southeast of the state. He was accused of overseeing an unduly slow response because of his views on needle exchanges. Hundreds of people were ultimately infected.
Will Trump's Massive Ego Kill Him? Don't Sneeze on Trump!

Rainy Day

Rainy day is symbolic of the right wing and greedy corporate trash that has destroyed the American dream.  John Fogerty asked who'll stop the rain. Patriots will stop the rain by removing the oligarchs and all the boot licking errand boys who do their bidding.

The billionaire class need to be gone.

A person has tested positive for coronavirus after attending a conservative conference where White House officials were present!

  • An attendee of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference last month has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, conference organizers announced Saturday.
  • A number of White House officials attended the conference, as did some 19,000 other people.
  • President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence both spoke at CPAC, but the conference organizers said the attendee had no interaction with either of them.

The American Conservative Union, which organized the conference from February 26 to 29, said in a statement on Saturday the attendee did not have any interaction with Trump or Pence, nor did the person attend events in the main hall.
The Washington Post reported that ACU's chairman, Matt Schlapp, interacted with the infected person at CPAC. Though it's unclear when the interaction occurred, The Post noted that Schlapp shook Trump's hand on stage on the final day of the conference.
The infected attendee was exposed to the coronavirus before attending the conference, and was later diagnosed at a New Jersey hospital. The person is now under quarantine, ACU said.
The organizers said the Trump administration was "aware of the situation," and urged attendees not to panic.
"Our children, spouses, extended family, and friends attended CPAC," ACU said. "During this time, we need to remain calm, listen to health care professionals, and support each other."

The conference frequently draws thousands of conservatives from across the country, including politicians, conservative icons, and media figures.
Several CPAC attendees spoke with Business Insider at the conference about their perception of the coronavirus threat, saying they believed mainstream news organizations were exaggerating the threat and that Trump had the situation under control.
Trump has faced backlash in recent weeks over his administration's response to the coronavirus outbreak. So far, 19 people have died and 401 people have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
Besides a nationwide testing shortage that has likely underestimated the true amount of cases in the US, Trump himself has been accused of frequently downplaying the risk the virus poses to the population.

Fox News Catches Kellyanne Conway Lying for Trump About Cutting Entitlements

“Oh, we’ll be cutting.”
Those four words—spoken in response to a question about entitlements during a Fox News town hall on Thursday—are likely to haunt President Donald Trump for the rest of his re-election campaign.
But don’t worry, Kellyanne Conway said Friday morning on Fox News, the president didn’t actually say what you heard him say.
Fox News host Ed Henry brought those comments, referring to them as something Trump “seems to be trying to clean up this morning,” during the White House counselor’s latest appearance on the network
“Kellyanne, the president this morning promising he’ll protect Social Security and Medicare,” Henry said. “You were there at that town hall, he said the opposite. He said that he, in a second term, would cut Social Security and Medicare and he would cut entitlement programs. Why did he say that?”
“He didn’t say that,” Conway replied with a straight face. “You’re misquoting him, respectfully.” She went on to explain that when she brought up the reaction to the comments with Trump directly, he told her, “No, I’m talking about cutting deficits.”
Henry could have let it go at that, but instead he played the video clip of the moment, which clearly contradicts that explanation.
At the town hall, Fox host Martha MacCallum told the president, “If you don’t cut something in entitlements, you’ll never really deal with the debt.”
“Oh, we’ll be cutting,” Trump said in response. “But we’re also going to have growth like you’ve never had before.”
“So Martha MacCallum said right there, but you’re going to have cut entitlements to cut the deficit and he said, ‘We’ll be cutting,’” Henry said after the clip finished.
And yet, in the face of video evidence, Conway maintained her spin. “But that wasn’t what he was talking about, he wasn’t talking about cutting entitlements,” she insisted, pointing to a statement from Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham that similarly tried to clean up those comments.
She then deftly pivoted to blaming President Barack Obama, and the show moved on to the coronavirus.
But despite Conway’s misleading protestations, Trump’s words have already become a major issue in the 2020 presidential campaign with both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders tweeting their respective vows to protect entitlements on Thursday evening.
Now, The Daily Beast has learned that American Bridge 21st Century will become the first Democratic Super PAC to use the clip against Trump, launching a five-figure digital ad buy highlighting the president’s “promise” to cut entitlements and targeting to older voters in counties surrounding Scranton, Pennsylvania, where the town hall took place.
“We want to ensure that local voters who didn’t catch Trump’s town hall see Trump’s most important answer of the night and know what’s in store for a second Trump term—cuts to Social Security and Medicare,” American Bridge President Bradley Beychok said in a statement. “This made-for-TV moment exposed Trump for who he really is—someone willing to play with seniors’ lives.”

Now 6 Wrestlers Say Jim Jordan Knew Of Doctor's Sex Abuse When He Was Coach: Report

A total of six former college wrestlers have now accused Donald Trump defender Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) of knowing about sexual abuse by the team doctor when he was an assistant coach at Ohio State University, CNN reports
The six told CNN they were present when Jordan either heard or responded to sexual misconduct complaints about university doctor Richard Strauss. Eight others told the network that the physician’s conduct was an open secret in the university’s athletic department and that Jordan couldn’t have not known.
Jordan has repeatedly denied knowing anything about sexual abuse of his athletes when he was assistant coach from1987 to 1995.
The university stated in its annual crime report last year that Strauss committed at least 1,429 sexual assaults and 47 rapes during his 20-year tenure. Strauss was never charged and died by suicide in 2005.
Former OSU wrestler Tito Vazquez, now a public school teacher, told CNN: “When these complaints come and he [Jordan] pretends now that he had no knowledge of it, that’s betrayal in the highest level.” Vazquez said that Jordan’s repeated denials that he knew about the sexual abuse convinced him to come forward. He said when he complained to Jordan, he said: “I have nothing to do with this.”
Onetime wrestling captain Adam DiSabato warned last month that things would “get worse” for Jordan as others would come forward to accuse him of doing nothing once he knew of the misconduct.
DiSabato said on MSNBC last month that Jordan called him repeatedly to plead with him to contradict DiSabato’s own brother’s account in 2018 that he told Jordan of sexual abuse. Not only did the behavior affect his brother, but the sexual abuse was “blatant knowledge throughout our wrestling team,” DiSabato said.
DiSabato testified before the Ohio House Civil Justice Committee last month that Jordan was not only aware of allegations of sexual abuse but that the congressman begged others to cover for him. He said then that Jordan “called me crying, groveling ... begging me to go against my brother,” adding: “He’s a coward.”
DiSabato testified as the state House of Representatives considers a bill that would lift the statute of limitations for Strauss’s victims and clear the way for them to sue OSU.
Jordan told CNN: “The idea that I wouldn’t stand up for these athletes is ridiculous. I feel sorry for these guys, the fact that they aren’t telling the truth.”
Several athletes have filed lawsuits against the university for ignoring allegations of sexual abuse. One suit cites instances of Strauss “drugging and raping athletes,” and claims Strauss preyed on underage boys who participated in athletic events on campus.
A referee stated in a lawsuit filed late last year that Strauss masturbated in front of him in a shower after a wrestling match at the university — and that he reported the encounter to Jordan. “Yeah, that’s Strauss,” Jordan and then-head coach Russ Hellickson responded, according to the lawsuit.
OSU announced on Friday that it had reached a monetary settlement with sex abuse survivors in 11 out of 18 pending cases.

More Proof: Rich People Belong In Cages

Yet another study confirms that drivers of expensive cars are more likely to ignore pedestrians.

Nevada study finds that every thousand bucks of added value decreases the odds of yielding to pedestrians by three percent.
We have noted studies that confirm BMW and Audi owners drive like idiots and that the rich are different from you and me, especially behind the wheel. Now a new study from researchers at the University of Nevada finds that car cost is a predictor of driver behaviour.
The study, Estimated car cost as a predictor of driver yielding behaviors for pedestrians, had one black and one white female and male take their lives into their hands crossing at a typical Las Vegas intersection.
Barely a quarter of the cars yielded for pedestrians. They stopped more often for females and whites compared to males and non-whites. The researchers picked mid-block pedestrian crossings within a mile of a school, chosen "in an attempt to improve the likelihood that local drivers would be accustomed to the presence of pedestrians in that particular location." The research participants survived the experiment because they didn't step off the curb unless they were certain that the car was going to yield.
The cars were filmed and the cost of the car was estimated using the Kelly Blue Book. The researchers found that while sex and race did make a difference, the biggest factor was the value of the car.

See the source image
A patriot did not set this rich asshole's BMW on fire, BMWs spontaneously burst into flames.
Only the cost of the car was a significant predictor of driver yielding, meaning that the odds of yielding decreased around 3 percent when the car cost increased by one thousand dollars.
They try to suss out the reasons for this and, in the end, fall back on other research we have discussed that concluded, “Higher social-class standing was positively associated with increased feelings of entitlement and narcissism.” They also note:
Drivers of higher cost cars may have been less accustomed to and ill prepared to yield for pedestrians, as higher SES [socio-economic status] is associated with lower rates of active transportation. However, the roads were relatively low speed at 35mph and the researchers made their intent to cross obvious with more than enough time for drivers who were paying attention to stop. Even if it was the case that the drivers who failed to yield did so because they failed to anticipate a crosswalk or the presence of pedestrians, it does not bode well for pedestrian safety, as the Las Vegas metropolitan area has numerous midblock crosswalks.
The study authors note that the road design is a problem.
The urban design is very characteristic of sprawl including auto-dominated development with separated land uses, such as residential areas separated from retail or entertainment districts, numerous high speed arterial streets with large block distances.
The mid block crosswalks were added "in an effort to facilitate non-intersection crossings." Writing in Streetsblog, Kea Wilson picks up on this issue of road design.
Even in the so-called “ideal” road conditions of the Vegas study, researchers noted that pedestrians had to walk across four vehicle lanes — and Nevada law requires each of those lanes to be at least 12 feet wide. Safe streets advocates have long argued that a 10-foot lane is vastly safer for pedestrians, because drivers tend to go faster the wider the travel lane is, and faster driving speeds = more dead walkers. By designing wide roads with wide lanes and way more space for cars than people, engineers send a subconscious message to drivers that it’s okay to go fast — and that folks on foot should get out of their way.
But driver entitlement isn't limited to the suburbs; I see it every day while walking or biking in the city. It's not just on wide roads, it's everywhere. And as the cars morph into SUVs and pickup trucks, it seems that the drivers are even more detached from their surroundings, and as we noted recently, the deaths of people walking and cycling just keep going up.
That's why it's time for true Vision Zero, making SUVs as safe as cars, cameras on every crosswalk and maybe even Intelligent Speed Assistance. Enough already.

My Op Ed: Money doesn't turn people into death deserving slime. Rich people were born that way. There are some rich people that don't deserve a trip to the guillotine.
