Criminals Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Other Treasonous Republicans May Be Executed

Rep. Zoe Lofgren's Report Bares Lawmakers' Posts Bashing Election Before Capitol Riot

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) issued a massive 2,000-page report on Friday exposing thousands of social media posts by GOP lawmakers attacking the presidential election and spreading lies before and after the deadly storming of the U.S. Capitol by Donald Trump supporters seeking to overturn the results.

Lofgren, chair of the House Administration Committee, indicated that the information could be used to oust — or criminally charge — lawmakers who illegally fomented insurrection against the very government they’ve taken a vow to serve.

The exposure of posts in Lofgren’s “Social Media Review” followed a report last week in The Intercept that the FBI has already collected “thousands of phone and electronic records” of people who were at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Investigators are targeting communications between members of Congress or their staffs, and the pro-Trump insurrectionists, CNN reported, seeking any indication of conspiracies to overthrow the government.

Lofgren’s report targets messages by Republican lawmakers who voted to challenge the presidential election results and who continued to peddle lies and conspiracy theories about the November vote even after the Capitol insurrection, which FBI Director Christopher Wray has characterized as domestic terrorism.

Some of Trump’s staunchest supporters in the House posted more than 100 messages each casting doubt on the presidential election results in less than three months, according to the collected messages.

Messages posted by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), who was the keynote speaker at a white nationalist conference in Florida just last week, took up 177 pages in the report. He peddled baseless claims that the election had been stolen and that officials who had been upholding the legitimate election were committing “treason and sedition.”

Gosar had several interactions with “@Ali” on Twitter, the since-suspended username for Ali Alexander, one of the main organizers of the “Stop the Steal” campaign as well as the rally at the Capitol on Jan. 6, according to his published posts.

Posts by incendiary QAnon supporter Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) took up 100 pages in the report.

“Like former President Trump, any elected Member of Congress who aided and abetted the insurrection or incited the attack seriously threatened our democratic government,” Lofgren wrote in the introduction to her report.

“They would have betrayed their oath of office and would be implicated in the same constitutional provision cited in the article of impeachment” against Trump following the Capitol riot, she noted.

“That provision prohibits any person who has previously taken an oath as a member of Congress to support the Constitution but subsequently engaged in insurrection or rebellion from serving in Congress,” Lofgren added.

The report by Lofgren’s staff is the first publicly available compilation of Facebook and Twitter posts from Nov. 3, 2020, to Jan. 31, 2021, by the 147 House Republicans who voted to challenge state-certified Electoral College votes in an attempt to stop Joe Biden from taking office.

“Statements which are readily available in the public arena may be part of any consideration of Congress’ constitutional prerogatives and responsibilities,” Lofgren noted.

Democrats: Tax The Filthy Rich!

Democratic lawmakers put forth Senator

Warren's tax on the ultra rich

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is teaming up with some Democrats as well as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to put forth the wealth tax she campaigned on as a Democratic presidential candidate to fight the rising inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic.

"We have watched the wealth of the billionaire class in America increase by more than a trillion dollars over the last year," Warren said at a press conference on Monday. "A two-cent wealth tax, or just help level the playing field a little bit, and create the kind of revenue that would let us build back better as Joe Biden says."

The legislation was introduced on Monday by Warren and Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Brendan Boyle (D-PA). If implemented, Warren's Ultra-Millionaire Tax (UMT) would impose a 2% annual tax on net worth of households and trusts between $50 million and $1 billion. For those making above $1 billion, the annual tax rate would be 3%.

The legislation is expected to generate $3 trillion in tax revenue over 10 years by raising taxes on only 100,000 American families, according to an analysis by the University of California-Berkley.

"Wealth at the top has boomed during the COVID crisis. Billionaires' wealth has literally exploded while many Americans struggle with job and income loss," Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman, authors of the report, said in a statement on Monday. "The ultra-millionaire wealth tax is the most direct and powerful tool to curb growing wealth concentration in the U.S. and make sure the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share in taxes."

Under Warren's proposal, America's billionaires would owe $114 billion in wealth tax for 2020, according to estimates by the Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF) and the Institute for Policy Studies Project on Inequality (IPS).

For instance, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos would pay $5.7 billion in wealth taxes for 2020 under the proposal, lowering his net worth from $191.2 billion to $185.5 billion, while Tesla's Elon Musk would pay $4.6 billion in 2020 wealth, reducing his net worth to $148.9 billion from $153.5 billion, the analysis found.

'It would probably raise much less revenue'

While wealth taxes reached their peak in OECD countries in the 1990s, the number of OECD countries that currently have a wealth tax dropped to five from 12 by 2019 because of the challenges those taxes create, according to the Tax Foundation.

Critics say that Warren's proposed tax may be difficult to calculate and be enforced. The revenue generated might not be as much as expected, while the costs of administering the tax could be higher than calculated.

"There's also a lot of uncertainty over how much revenue a wealth tax could actually generate," Erica York, an economist with the Tax Foundation, told Yahoo Money. "It would probably raise much less revenue than what Senator Warren estimates."

The tax would cover the individual's net worth — including bonds, stocks, real estate as well as art collections and private business assets minus any debts. Some of those assets, like art collections, may be harder to value, requiring more resources at the Internal Revenue Service to support those operations.

Warren's proposal included $100 billion of funding to the IRS to "hire and train additional personnel, modernize IT systems, and implement the new asset valuation, reporting, and enforcement requirements" but it is unclear whether those resources would be enough.

Tax evasion and avoidance could be other reasons that the wealth tax may not generate as much revenue as initially estimated, according to York.

"While I think Senator Warren and her proposal would try to beef up the IRS, you would still have the incentive for wealthy households to try to reduce their liability," York said."The problem exists today with the estate tax and I don't think you could just make it disappear when you implement a far more broad-reaching tax like the wealth tax."

Christmas Is Coming And So Is The Next COVID-19 Surge

With the Thanksgiving surge beginning to ramp up, the Christmas surge will prove to be the biggest yet. MAGAt will be flocking to the stores, going to bars and restaurants, and church.  MAGAts will travel to be with their MAGAt families and the infections and deaths will soar.

The reported number of deaths is nearly 300,000 and the actual number is probably closer to 500,000. By April 1st the reported deaths could exceed 770,000 depending on mask use. The actual number of COVID-19 deaths could exceed 1 million by April and deaths from COVID could exceed 2 million by January 2022.

Encourage every MAGAt to defy commonsense and avoid wearing masks or do social distancing. Help them in their delusional thinking and evil ignorance. America and the world gets incrementally better every time a MAGAt dies. Help COVID-19 purge America of the MAGAt menace.
