The Problem With Obama Care

Obama Care is nothing more than a giveaway to the insurance companies. It forces people to buy health insurance that will pay for the worst health care in the industrialized world. Obamacare sucks.

Obamacare is giving public and private money to doctors and insurance companies.

The Chris Christie Scandal

I was just hoping that there would be a miracle and by a miracle I mean an honest, moral and sane Republican. What made Christie even more impressive is that we thought he was one of us - a loud mouthed fat ass who isn't afraid to tell it like it is. As I have pointed out in several op eds, fat men make the best presidents e.g. Bill Clinton, Teddy Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. Christie's recent criminal and moronic activity have not only destroyed his presidential hopes and political career they have broken the hearts of fatlings everywhere.

10 More People Killed By Plavix

CHICAGO (CN) - Ten people died from the blockbuster blood-thinner Plavix, which is no better than aspirin against stroke but costs 100 times more, dozens of family members claim in two complaints.

Bristol-Myers Squibb and Sanofi-Aventis reaped annual U.S. sales of $3.8 billion from Plavix, pushing the drug in TV, magazine and Internet ads, while they "knew or should have known that when taking Plavix, the risk of suffering a heart attack, stroke, internal bleeding, blood disorder, or death far outweigh any potential benefit," lead plaintiff Geraldine Jackson says.

At least 561 lawsuits have been filed over Plavix, according to the Courthouse News database. Rose Creighton is the lead plaintiff in the other most recently filed case. Both were filed in Cook County Court.

Quotations in this article are from Jackson's lawsuit, though the dozens of plaintiffs make similar claims in both cases - that Bristol-Myers and Sanofi-Aventis deceived the public by misrepresenting the risks of Plavix, which they knew about from their own studies.

"Plavix was heavily marketed directly to consumers through television, magazine and Internet advertising," the complaint states. "It was touted as a 'super-aspirin,' that would give a person even greater cardiovascular benefits than a much less expensive, daily aspirin while being safer and easier on a person's stomach than aspirin. Those assertions have proven to be false.

"The truth is, that BMS and Sanofi always knew, or if they had paid attention to the findings of their own studies, should have known, that Plavix was not more efficacious than aspirin to prevent heart attacks and strokes. More importantly though, defendants knew or should have known that when taking Plavix, the risk of suffering a heart attack, stroke, internal bleeding, blood disorder, or death far outweigh any potential benefit."

Plavix is the sixth best-selling drug in the United States, with annual sales of $3.8 billion, although it works no better than aspirin in many cases, according to the complaint. A dose of Plavix costs $4, 100 times more than aspirin, at 4 cents a dose.

"Defendants' nearly eight-year run of lying to physicians and to the public about the safety and efficacy of Plavix for the sole purpose of increasing corporate profits has now been uncovered by scientific studies that reveal that not only is Plavix not worth its high price - it is dangerous," the complaint states.

A recent study "uncovered another truth about Plavix," the complaint adds. "It found that Plavix plus aspirin (dual therapy) is only minimally more effective than aspirin plus placebo at preventing atherothrombotic events. But more importantly, it found that in patients who do not have peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or acute coronary syndrome (ACS), Plavix plus aspirin (dual therapy) poses a 20 percent increased risk to the patient of suffering bleeding injuries, heart attacks, stroke and death. In other words, in those patients without ACS or PAD, dual therapy with aspirin and Plavix does more harm than good.

"Despite a growing body of scientific knowledge that the four-dollar ($4.00) Plavix pill was not much better than a four-cent-a-day aspirin, Defendants kept promoting it to the public and to physicians, using hyperbole and outright falsification in the process."

Three people died because they took Plavix, according to Jackson's lawsuit. Creighton's lawsuit, filed the same day, claims that seven people died from the drug.

"Defendants failed to fully, truthfully and accurately communicate the safety and efficacy of Plavix drug products and intentionally and fraudulently misled the medical community, physicians, plaintiffs' physicians and ingesting plaintiffs and decedents about the risks associated with Plavix," Jackson's complaint states.

The families seek punitive damages for products liability, manufacturing defect, failure to warn, negligence, loss of consortium and wrongful death.

All plaintiffs are represented by Steven Aroesty with Nafoli, Bern, Ripka, and Shkolnik, of Edwardsville, Ill.

Plavix has been prescribed to prevent stroke after operations, which may be caused by blood clots breaking loose and traveling toward the brain. It has been a drug of choice for conditions such as those being suffered by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

Merry XXXmas From Fat Bastardo and the Staff at Bigger Fatter Politics

I give December 25th a XXX rating because Christmas has become such a vulgar and obscene event. I, Fat Bastardo, will join in the Christmas debauchery and eat like a fucking pig and drink like a fish and if I can find a hooker I'll let her ride my sleigh of blubber tonight. Like they say, the thicker the hide the better the ride.

Phil Robertson Was Right

biblically speaking... God really does hate homosexuals. In fact God hates homosexuals so much that he actually wants us to put them to death as per Leviticus 20:13. He also finds guys ass fucking each other an abomination as well as eating shrimp and pork. When Westboro Baptist church says that, "God Hates Fags" they aren't lying. God hates a lot of thing and loves very little other than himself.

What did Robertson say? Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right. -Phil Robertson-

What else did Phil Robertson say?

The New Testament also condemns homosexuality in no uncertain terms, most notably in writings ascribed to Paul.

Romans
With his usual Christly ignorance and intolerance, Paul condemns homosexuals (including lesbians). This is the only clear reference to lesbians in the Bible. 1:26-28

1 Corinthians
Paul lists ten things that will keep you out of heaven, including homosexuality and being "effeminate." 6:9-10

1 Timothy
Homosexuals (those "that defile themselves with mankind") are included on the list of lawless, disobedient, unholy, and profane people. 1:10

Phil Robertson may or may not be a fucking asshole but without a doubt his God most certainly is.

Was Jesus gay?
"There was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved." 13:23-25
"The disciple standing by, whom he loved" 19:26
"The disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper" 21:20

A federal court just vindicated Snowden's patriotic actions. Tell President Obama it's time to grant him immunity.

Dear Fat Bastardo,

Edward Snowden is a great American who deserves full immunity for his patriotic acts. And we’re proud to serve as his legal advisors.

When Snowden blew the whistle on the NSA, he single-handedly reignited a global debate about government surveillance and our most fundamental rights as individuals.

And on Monday, a federal judge vindicated Snowden’s actions by declaring unconstitutional the NSA’s spying program, labeling it “Orwellian”—adding that James Madison would be “aghast.”

This could be the key tipping point for the American public to fully realize the service Snowden provided to all of us by exposing the NSA’s illegal spying program, if we act now and together.

Because the truth is, NONE of the progress in this fight—yesterday’s court decision, the legislation working through Congress, the presidential review of the NSA—would have happened if Snowden had kept silent about the government’s illegal activity.

That’s why today—in the wake of this groundbreaking court decision—we’re calling on President Obama to provide full immunity for Snowden, so he can come back home to the country he loves, free from persecution.

Let’s stand together and tell President Obama to grant Snowden immunity for his patriotic acts exposing the NSA’s illegal activities.

For more than 12 years, the ACLU has been fighting to end government surveillance that invades the rights and lives of millions of Americans with virtually no oversight. But when our years-long case against mass surveillance finally reached the Supreme Court, it was dismissed for lack of evidence of the secret programs. Snowden provided that evidence, at great personal risk.

Right now, Snowden still lives under threat—exiled in Russia far from his home and his family, and the victim of ongoing public attacks by the NSA and its surveillance allies. Just yesterday, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said that Snowden “ought to swing from a tall oak tree” for exposing the NSA’s illegal programs.

Despite all this, in a recent CBS News interview, a top NSA official opened the door to offering Snowden immunity, under certain conditions (though we firmly believe it should be unconditional).

And this latest court decision gives us the opportunity to fully turn the tide on public opinion and protect Snowden from further threats of persecution.

If tens of thousands of us stand together and tell President Obama to grant Snowden immunity, we have a real chance of bringing him home.

Let’s make the most of this historic opportunity together.

Thank you,
Anthony for the ACLU Action team

P.S. In a statement following the court ruling, Snowden had this to say: "Today, a secret program authorized by a secret court was, when exposed to the light of day, found to violate Americans’ rights. It is the first of many." Let’s make sure that after raising his voice to better our democracy, Snowden can come home.
